Privacy Policy

Last updated November 5, 2026

This website is run by Stu Schwartz ("Stuntman Stu", "we", "us"), based in Ottawa, Ontario. We respect your privacy and follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, plus basic visit statistics:

  • Partnership inquiries (Contact page): your name, email, and optionally company, phone, collaboration type, timeline, budget and message.
  • Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and where you signed up.
  • Contest entries: the fields a contest asks for — such as full name, address, phone, email and a message — and whether you chose to also join the newsletter.
  • Site statistics: pages viewed, the website that referred you, device type (phone, tablet or computer), country, and an anonymous random visitor ID stored in your browser. We do not collect your name or IP address for statistics.

2. How we use it

  • To reply to inquiries and discuss collaborations.
  • To send the newsletter, only if you opted in.
  • To run contests: check eligibility, prevent duplicate entries, select and contact winners, and award prizes. A winner's first name and city may be announced publicly.
  • To understand which pages are popular and improve the site.
  • To protect forms from spam and abuse.

3. Consent and the newsletter

We only add you to the newsletter when you sign up or tick the newsletter box on a contest form — that box is never pre-ticked. Every newsletter will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.

4. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the site. They process information only on our behalf:

  • Website hosting and database (Lovable Cloud) — stores form submissions, subscribers, contest entries and statistics.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — a security check on forms that may process technical data about your browser to tell people from bots.
  • Google Fonts — delivers the typefaces used on the site.
  • Instagram / Meta — videos and posts from Stu's accounts may be shown or embedded. When you play an embed, Meta may collect data under its own privacy policy.

Some providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

5. Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising cookies. We store an anonymous visitor ID in your browser so a repeat visit isn't counted as a new visitor, and the security check may set its own technical data. Embedded social media content may set cookies from that platform. You can clear site data in your browser at any time.

6. How long we keep it

Inquiries are kept as long as needed to manage the conversation and any resulting work. Subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe. Contest entries are kept for the contest and a reasonable period after to handle prize questions, then deleted. Statistics are kept in summary form.

7. Security

Submissions are sent over encrypted connections and are visible only to authorized site staff. Uploaded media is stored privately. No method is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent, by contacting us through the Contact page. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and contests are generally limited to adults as stated in each contest's rules.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
